5.0 handling
Q1: How many different things did you count? What were they? In what ways might
computers be used to control different things in the supermarket?
A: I count 5 things and they were 1. Gets to work 2. Pull up to the car park barrier 3. It opens 4. He drives in to the car park 5. He reverses into a parking space
Q2: Why is it useful to use computers rather than people to control things? What problems might there be if any of the computer systems fail in the supermarket?
A: yes, it is useful to use computer rather then people to control things, because computer is much easier than controlling and also the computer might be 100% sure than the people to control. There might be problems such as difficult to go the way, don’t know the way to go if any of the computer systems fail in the supermarket.
Q3: Describe the inputs and outputs for the other devices that we have talked about so far. How do the supermarket doors and car park barriers know when to open? Identify other control systems that work automatically in this way.
A: - Putting the money inside and click the buttons are input and when the item comes out it calls the output.
- Flashing the toilet is input and after when new water comes out it is output.
- Turn on the computer with buttons is input and after when it is on it is output.
The supermarket doors and car park barriers know when to open because it has a sense.
Q4: What would happen if the instructions were wrong? These instructions assume that the car is in the right place. What would happen if the car were not there? How could they stop this happening?
A: if instruction is wrong accident it will happen or it’s not going to work well. You have to make a new information system if that instruction were wrong.
